It's Kenny Baby!

Go Utes! I love that he had this hat handed to him from someone and that we wore it too! Ya Baby!
Lacy Sassafrass!

Me and Lacy! We had so much fun...once Kenny came on Stage!

It was a ladies night out (with two extras)

The two other's are in this picture!
We went to see Kenny Chesney 7.23.09 at the Rio Tinto Stadium. We had a ton of fun yelling and screaming....and dancing of course. With a couple drinks in my hand!
Thanks everyone for such a great time! I even saw my FAVORITE Sister in Law PENNEY and her hubby RON! But they had much better seats than we did. They were down on the ground!

The Mountains of Bountiful

This is my Hubby (Rob) and his mom (Sally). We took an early morning drive WITHOUT kids on the 5th of July. I think that we left the house at like 5:30 or 6:00....way too early for me.
Overlooking the Great Salt Lake from a look-out at the top of the Bountiful Mountains. There are quite a few look out spots....you can almost see to Wendover from some of them.

The little pond that we like to ride our 4-wheelers to. We've seen Moose down in here a few times, but today wasn't as lucky to see them. If you look close you can see a bit of a rainbow....pretty cool I must say!

Another shot of the pond from up above. I love the reflections that I was able to get.

Another reflection, but this of I think some little creature built pile!

This was my second favorite of the pond picture!

My favorite! I love the colors and the reflections!

Josh Gracin Concert

I won tickets to go see Josh Gracin back in JUNE! Yep....another late one.
This is like....girls will be girls forever and always. It's always fun to take a lot of picture before the concert. Good thing for the little point and shoot camera that we can just throw in our purses. That way the fun can continue!
Did you see those dark clouds behind us? It rained on us....good thing we found a nice warm sleeping bag in Lacy's trunk. That and the phonco's kept us warm and dry. :)

Deja turned 8!!!

Lacy trying to undo the shirts.....can she do it without cheating?? NO!!!

Some little girls trying to undo the shirt.....can they do it without cheating?? NO!

Abbie staying in the wagon and away from the water and the girls. She was not about to get wet!

There was three groups of three girls. One frozen T-shirt and One cup of hot water. They were suppose to try and get the shirt undone with ONLY ONE cup of water, lots of body heat, pulling, and whatever else they can do to get it undone.

Even rubbin' the bum bums on the frozen shirt.....maybe a little hot air would help?

There girls were sneakin' around to find a puddle of water of the side of the house. (This is in June...remember all the rain we had?) They did find a puddle......CHEATERS!!

Deja really wanted a new scooter. Well she got one!

These are all the girls that came to Deja's birthday. The only part that you can see of Deja is her Bum and two legs on the right side! Do you see her?

Chloe! We made these hair ties too! One pony tail holder and lots of fabric. Kind of like what they do with the flip flops at camp.

Maddie and Emilie....what the heck is Maddie doing? Is she yelling at Sponge Bob?

Deja celebrated her birthday with lots of friends, had a slumber party, pizza, cake, frozen shirts, pancakes, and lots of girlie screams! What more could you ask for at 8 years old? I think that they all had a good time. Bye the way, her birthday was May15th and her party was not til the first weekend in June. I'm just a little late!

Washington D.C.

Rob and I went to Washington D.C. for the first time on May 14th. Our main reason for going was this Son, Husband, Daddy, and (Rob's) Nephew above...and now a Graduate of George Washington Law School. Levi has worked so hard to be where he is now, everyone is so very proud of everything that he has accomplished in life so far! I'm there that there is a lot more to come from him.

Misc. pictures....First Rob's mom Sally and her sister Jeannie, they were in D.C. too. Middle: Thats me; Rob took this picture while we were at Gettysburg. Last but not least: Levi, Grandma, and Rob...this was actually at Mt. Vernon.

"Mt Vernon"

This is where our first president George Washington lived...did you know that he had never lived in The White House? Well now you know. The picture of the house is actually the back of the house; the front door is on the other side facing the Potomac River. The picture of the river is the veiw from the front door.
The two bottom pictures are of the burial places. The first and the now current location.

"Washington D.C. Metro"
If you have not been there to D.C. before. I would suggest you learn about the Metro. This was so nice to get from place to place and it was pretty fast and not to expensive.

"Our Nations Capital"
There were so many pictures to choose from. We also got to see the Senate Floor, but no pictures allowed.

"Arlington Cemetery"
This is one of the several men that guard The Tomb of the Unknow. These men have to take a very strict oath to become a gaurd for the Tomb of the Unknown. They have to go through special training to do their jobs and learn how many steps to take, how to move their foot when they stop, how to move their gun as they switch directions, and so many other things. This is a two year commitment and once they are done that oath that they take....they can not longer for the rest of their life...drink, swear, or smoke...I'm sure that there is more to their restriction. This was very cool to actually see the changing of the guard and know that I have been there.

"Antietam Battlefield"
This was the bloodiest one day battle in America. There was 23,000 solder's that died there in one day September 17, 1862.
We had Clark for the day while Levi and his wife Bonnie and something to do, so he went with us to Gettysburg and Antietam Battlefield. I don't think that Clark was suppose to play in the water....but he did and had a lot of fun doing it.

"The White House"
Rob and I in front of The White House and the other side is Jeannie, me, Penney, and Bonnie in front of The White House. We did a night tour by bus; at first I wasn't sure about doing the night tour. I would highly recommend this for everyone, unless you have a car and a tour guide to drive you around.

"Jefferson Memorial"
We went here on the bus tour too. FYI you can't get here from the Metro. I loved the colors of the sunset so I had to take a picture.

"Lincoln Memorial"
The best time to see all the memorials is at night. The night and the lights make all the monuments look better.

"Library of Congress"
This wasn't really on my list of places to go, but when I was told about the inside of the building I had to go and see for my self.

We had a great time there is D.C., although it was a lot of family for a week long time. Not a bad thing but it's not completely easy to be everyone for such a long period of time. You could be in that place for 3 years and not see everything. The museums are only open from 10-5 so unless your there for like 3 weeks you won't be able to see all the museums. We also went to the Pentagon and went on a tour...but again no pictures allowed. We saw the memorial from the September 11th crash and that was very moving to see.
Thanks for reading about our trip!

Spiral Jetty and The Salty Flats

Man made Jetty made by Robert Smithson in 1970 from black Balsalt rocks. This is past the Golden Spike National Historical Site.....it was a rocky road, specially in my car. There was a ton of rocks drive over to get to it. I thought that we were going to be high centered a couple of times. It was a fun addition to continue to from The Golden Spike.

This is Emilie jumping on the Salt. I had never been out here before....it was kind of smelly and yet pretty cool. It looks like she is jumping out of the water, but really she is just jumping on rock hard salt! Not to mention she was scared to jump. I think that she thought she would have fallin' through the salt or something.

Lacy dancin' on the Salt! You can even see that she still has her shoes on.

Deja is digging in the salt.
We had a great Mother's Day adventure! We even got home to a nicely cooked Spoon Roast that had been cooking in the crockpot all day...it was so full of juices and so yummy!

Golden Spike

This is Rob's mom Sally on Mother's Day at the Golden Spike Re-enactment. I hope she had a good Mother's Day with us!
No. 119

Deja and Lacy on the tracks that the trains were on. Don't they look a little Sassy?

My Hubby Rob and his mom! These good pictures of Rob and his mom are hard to come by. I have got to take advantage of very opportunity.

Locomotives Jupiter and No. 119

And of course there is Emilie! I really like this picture because there is just teeth and cheeks behind the hair.
"Golden Spike"
On Mother's Day this year we went to the Golden Spike re-enactment at Promotory Point, UT. May 10th, 1869 the driving of the Last Golden Spike for two railroad companies to come together of 1776 miles of rail....Union and Central Pacific. We stayed and watched the re-enactment and listened to the different school bands play music and sing "I've been working on the Railroad"

Who has this in their lives???

"Soccer"

Both of my girls play soccer and as a parent I love to watch my girls be involved in things that they love doing. Emilie is now playing U10 and Deja is play U9....Can you say PAY ME? Who would have ever thought that it could seriously cost so much money to put your kids in sports. Soccer is not a poor man sport. Between each of the registration fees, uniforms, refs, tournaments, and whatever else comes up....we are almost going to be sittin' pretty in the homeless shelter. Ok, that is not even funny to think about. Soccer is the reason why my blog is suffering. I am also the team manager, money collector, and check maker for Emilie's team. It is a lot of fun and at the same time a ton of work.

I had to put the RED shoes up there, because at the end of this past years season Emilie needed new shoes and I made her get RED for UTAH. That also explains the RED and Black ball too!

Soon there will be new pictures, starting with my Mother's Day events!

My house is for sale!

I had to share!
That's all there is to it, it's funny and you all needed to see what I saw on Nana's Kitchen blog...thanks Tammy! Although there might be some truth to the sign, but I'm not moving anytime soon!
